Uninsured services

Some things a family practice is asked to do are not covered by MSP. Here is what to expect.

The Medical Services Plan (MSP) covers medically necessary visits, but not everything. Forms, letters, some examinations and some procedures are uninsured, which means the fee is paid by you or by a third party such as an insurer or employer. Extended health plans (for example Blue Cross or Sun Life) may reimburse some of them.

Our fees are based on the Doctors of BC uninsured services fee guide. Please ask about the current fee when you book, and confirm what your own plan covers. Link to the Doctor of BC 2024 Uninsured Services Fee Guide for reference.
